6 banger not getting fuel?
I had the I6 in my GMC partially taken apart to paint it, got everything all hooked up, and it wont take fuel from the pump.... has 4 gals of gas from last year in the tank, ran fine last year, got it running by pouring gas down the carb, but it wont take any from the pump.... anything i should check?

Re: 6 banger not getting fuel?
make sure it is getting fuel to the pump. Two of my trucks had a pluged fuel sending unit in the tank.

Re: 6 banger not getting fuel?
i had the same prob. Remove the sending unit from the tank and check the pickup line to see if it is blocked. Quick way is to put some air thru it with an air line. If that's blocked with bad gas or gunk, it will never get gas to the pump.

Re: 6 banger not getting fuel?
what type of carb do you have on it? I have a single barrel rochester and a few months ago it gave me fits trying to track down a similar problem. turned out to be a small brass plug in the top of the carb had come out and was in bottom of the fuel bowl. put it back in and problem solved.
