Looks like a $20K truck for under $6K! I would buy 10 of these, in this condition, for that price...so, I am not even going to call. This ad scares me! Anyone seeing this ad in other cities/areas?

wont hurt to call.... doesnt seem like a scam ad to me, most scams are a little more generic. this one talks about the cowl hood and stereo, which norm wouldnt happen with a scammer....but you never know

Doesn't hurt to send an email. Just ask when\where you can see it first thing. The price is low enough to seem like a good deal without being so low that it raises a red flag right off the bat.

One fishy thing about it...The email is in the ad instead of through CL. When I've seen this it's usually a scam or it includes a phone number because people want to talk on the phone instead of via email.

On this link you can read the license plate, the ebay seller is out of Colorado (with a 100% rating by over 1000 ppl) and the plates appear to be from CO as well, also the ebay listing did not make the reserve and it was in the $16,000 range.

Also if you do a search on google for portions of the craigslist posting you can see where almost the same posting has been made in other craigslist cities.

I investigated a similar craigslisting where a guy from my home town bought a tractor via western union. Then after he sent the money and never got the tractor he found the same tractor listed in Canada about three months later, some exact wording, photos, and price. When he came in and reported that he had found it the second time I was able to find the listing in about 12 different craigslistings and 3 or 4 ebay listings.

Just my thoughts on it though.
