was there a 1968 k10 custom

going to be building my truck (taking a 1968 c20 long box, putting it on a 71 swb cst frame, with 1969 k5 drivertrain) and since its gonna be so far from original its stupid i was curious if there was a 1968 k10 custom in existence. considering doing the chrom accent trim. also this truck will get my 396bb.

thanks,
david

Re: was there a 1968 k10 custom

That is basically what I did. I used 69 swb frame and bed with the 72 front axle and a 73 14 bolt in the rear. I used a 69 CST cab and then put a lot of aftermarket accessories on it. FI 383 with a T400 and GV overdrive with 4:09 gears. Has a 4 in lift with 35 in tires

The rims are 12x16.5 and I believe the backspace is 6 in. I used a two in block and a 2 in shackle lift on the back. on the front it was all done with the spring brackets and shackles.
