easy way to replace trailing arms?

ok so I'm new at this, I cannot for the life of me figure out what the best way to remove my old trailing arms is to replace them. i have been having one head ache after another trying to pull everything off just to get to the u bolt to take that off and its rusted through solid. so i have to cut it off I have tried everything else. but what is the best way to jack it up or leave it down? any help would be great thanks.

Re: easy way to replace trailing arms?

frame on stands, axle on jack or shorter stands. cut U-bolts. remove brake cable clips. remove or cut spring lower cup bolts. remove front bolts and slide arms out. reverse to install.

Re: easy way to replace trailing arms?

it's a bit easier with the bed off and out of the way too// gives you a great chance to clean up and paint the rear half of the frame at the same time
