Re: Finally ready but need what wires?
Go to best buy and pick up a double amp installation kit. That should cover the amps. Buy some speaker wire for the speakers. You'll need a power wire and ground wire for the deck. It's not that hard.
Do this. Lay everything out on the floor, and write down what wires are going where, and buy what you need. |

Re: Finally ready but need what wires?
your cross over on your bass amp should be on LP or LowPass
your cross over on the componet speaker amp should be on Full or AP(allpass) or some put it on hp(high pass) if your speaking of the actuall cross overs for your speakers it should have 2 connections on one end and 4 on the other end the side with 2 should be the input and that will be coming from your deck and the 4 output wires 2 will go to the speaker and 2 will go to the tweater they should be labled Last edited by TheSunDanceKid; 09-01-2010 at 05:39 PM. |

Re: Finally ready but need what wires?
to correct the photo above^^^^^^^^
he is right BUT the input leads(wires) come from your AMP to the input side of the crossover.. the rest of the diagram is fine. the crossover will also have a "jumpers" under the cover for a 3,6 db cut/gain for the tweeter(most good ones do anyways) don't bury the crossovers till you hear the sound and pick the high (gain/cut) that works for you.. |
