I couldn't agree more guys, Chubby is only a teaser for what that interior gives me. I got the pic from a recent post on this board (the whole damn truck was beautiful) and would love to have a similar setup on my 2wd project.

Yeh, it's for sale on Ebay right now. Here's the link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=5348

I have never built a center console before but I would think that if you are going to cover it with material like tweed or carpet, that you could construct it out of particle board or plywood and it would give you alot of margin for error. I would attempt to build my own over paying someone to do it for me.

This one was also posted on the board a while back. I think It's a transplant rather than a custom. It looks right at home in our trucks, a very nice install. Anyone know what it is out of and what if any modifications were required.

Seats remind me of S-10... maybe console came from there as well?? Just guessing. If anyone recognizes the console, speak up.

Wow...the old Trader Tims '72. It's hard to believe that interior has held up so well for the last 10+ years. After looking at the auction, I think I prefer the truck like it was originally built. still a sweet truck though.

The "mystery console" is actually in a truck featured in the march '03 issue of Classic Trucks. It says "A set of '96 Chevy pickup buckets was located and bolted in. To fill the sapce between the buckets Ken custom-made a center console using a '96 Trans Am shifter, and the drink holders and storage comparment from a '00 Chevy truck. The combination looks factory-built. Ken also made his own interior panels using home-built door handles that incorporate the power window and door lock switches." Very sweet looking truck btw.
