Question Fiquring out a Gear ratio

Hey fellas, I have a problem that I'm sure you Brainiacs can fiqure out for me.

I would like to know what the ratio of my Blazer will be in every gear of my sm465.

My choices are a 3.07 and a 3.73 axles.

I am trying to fiqure out what both will be in every combined gears....tranny and axle.

It will be a 350 with Sm465 and 205. Either 3.07 or 3.73.

Tranny gears are
1st...6.55 to 1.00
2nd...3.58 to 1.00
3rd...1.57 to 1.00
4th.. 1.00 to 1.00

Any ideas?? Do I just add or....???????????

Thanks fellas

Re: Fiquring out a Gear ratio

everything gets multiplied if im remembering right. Your first gear ends up somewhere in the 20's You can pull a house down with either rear

Re: Fiquring out a Gear ratio

They multiply.

First gear: 6.55 x 3.07 = 20.11
Second gear: 3.58 x 3.07 = 10.99

or

First gear: 6.55 x 3.73 = 24.43
Second gear: 3.58 x 3.73 = 13.35

etc
