New Z71 for me '98 ext cab

Hey everyone,

I have been on this forum for a bit and it seems that I keep selling and upgrading to newer and newer GM trucks. My latest is a 98 Chevy Z71. It has a 350 V8 with 196k miles and not a leak anywhere and going strong. The outside is in pretty good shape other than the front bumper being pushed in a bit. The inside however has seen better days. It has acquired a driver's door from I believe a 95 at one point and the PO didn't change out the handle/lock gut for a 98 so he cut the 98 panel and instead....The power locks and mirrors don't work and the dash needs some new trimmings but all in all it's a dependable truck and I got a deal on it..Here are some pics enjoy!

Good deal, I like it. My 96 drivers door handle keeps breaking, I've gone through two this year, but it does have another 70k more miles than your '98... Congrats you bought a solid dependable truck.

Nice QQn Z-71 !!!!!

The body looks to be straight with no rust and the interior needs are very minor.

Nice Score

Re: New Z71 for me '98 ext cab

I went through the truck looking for rust yet found nothing. Everything is solid including the rear wheel arches and cab corners! I will be going to the junkyard looking for interior parts when I get back next week from traveling. I would like to pick up a nice set of seats and a complete door for a 98 with the same red and silver bottom...lol....I know I am a dreamer.

My '97 crewcab has 235K on it and has great oil pressure and drives great. The fuel injected engines sure seem to go a lot longer than the old stuff! Nice find, you shouldn't have too much problem getting that door fixed.
