Re: transfer case swap

Huh, interesting.

I've always heard the 4L60's started in like 94 or 95? Maybe I heard wrong.

Re: transfer case swap

Nope, '93 was the first year. Been there, done that. I think that the '93 - '95 are the same and they changed after that.
Bolt patterns are different from a TH400 to a 700R4/TH350. You might be able to get it done, but it'll take at least an adapter. There should be plenty of NP203's out there with the TH350/700 pattern, I sold two not long ago for $50 apiece.

Re: transfer case swap

203 that's a full time case aint it? did the 3500's use them? I thought a 203 went out back in the 70's.

But yea 700r4 and th350 have a 4 bolt tail pattern and 400 is 6 bolt, now a 4l80 I hear is the od replacement/same as th400? Not sure on the tails though. but a 4l60 is the same as the 700r4 or so I've read and seen online.

I also think the 400 is a 32 spline and 700r4's and th350's are 27, so splines might be different too. if not then yea an adapter should be all you need. except for maybe differences in length if they are different cases or something?
