need some tips for installing a TSP hei distributor

got a top street performance hei distributor. any tips for wiring/installing to a 350 in a 69 blazer 4x4? can you by a plug with pigtails at auto stores?

I have seen the pigtails in the help section at the auto parts store but you can pull the connector with all the wire needed off a donor car at the wrecking yard too. This way you can get several feet of heavy gauge wire with it and make the connection to the fuse box without another splice in the line.

HEI's want as much voltage as you can give them and will not work well trying to power them off the old points distributor power wire. Connect it to the fuse block in a fused ignition on accessory circuit.

All the large cap HEI's use the same plugs for power & tach feed so you can get the connector & wire from any GM vehicle from the mid 70's on up that has the large cap HEI.

The wire is probably 10 gauge but could be 12. Front wheel drive cars usually have a mile of power wire for the HEI that is easily removable from the car in one long piece. I have a section I use for diagnostic work that has about a four foot length of wire on it that came from a front wheel drive car.

ok great, anybody know of any fitment issues with the top speed performance coil on cap hei? it just looks huge compared to the originial
