WIW Soft top for k5

hello all,

I recently got a project k5 and it came with a bunch of tops. I was wondering what a mostly complete (minus a couple things as they are also used on the other tops) in very good shape (no tears all the glass you can see out of) just dirty top is worth. I believe it said kayline top from denver co on it. Its a dark tan color (almost like dirt color).

Just wondering whats it worth

Thank you for your input

Re: WIW Soft top for k5

Kayline made at least 2 different style tops for these blazers. The one without the snaps is worth more. I can't remember but, I think I sold my snapless top for 1k or 12 hundred, but it was still new and had never been installed. Also, it was black which could be worth more or worth less, depending on the buyer.

Re: WIW Soft top for k5

There is only one manufacture of soft tops right now - softtopper.com. They run $800+. Personally, I like the way the old Kayline (and Specialty Top Co) tops fit better. Someone just posted that they bought a top for $200 with foggy windows. That was a good deal IMO. If it is missing brackets, etc, it will drop the value considerably.

Someplace, I have a copy of the STC & Bestop install instructions in a PDF. I think the STC is just their fastrack. PM me with your email if you want me to send you a copy.

Re: WIW Soft top for k5

Mine is the snap version with a little L channel that screws to the bed rail and has snaps on it.

So with everything except for the L channel and the little brackets ontop of the windshield and the snaps that screw into the body. what do you guys think its worth?

I bought one complete on this forum for $375 last year. If you decide to sell put me in line as I would like to have spare parts and top.
