3/4 Ton ?
Are 3/4 ton with trailing arm suspension rare or unusual? I may need a crossmember out of one. Jay

Yep, if you are talking Chevys they are more common. On the other hand GMC had leaf springs, coils and trailing arms were optional.

Coil springs were the standard setup on Chevys and leaf springs were standard on GMC. The alternate arrangement was optional on both makes, but coil spring GMCs are MUCH scarcer than leaf spring Chevys.

we are only talking 2wd too. all 4x4's had leaf springs front and rear. all 2WD 1/2 and 3/4 ton burbs got coils and trailing arms in back regardless of make and i think it was the same for all 2wd blazers too.
personally i think leaf springs are primitive and very ugly and that is one of the many reasons i think my 72 burb c20 is so cool. some coworkers told me i should jack up my truck and convert it into a 4x4. my one response was....."Heck, No!!!" |

Thanks guys I have looked a two and both were leaf. one was a GMC for sure the other there wasn't enough left to tell. I am wanting to put trailing arms under my 87 3/4, and wanted to get a closer look at the cross member. Jay
