lowering 1972 lwb
Has anyone ever lowered a1972 lwb pu with 15x10 wheels and 295/50 tires? If so, how low and what method.

A 3"/5" spring drop would be the cheapest.
The front won't go much lower with a 15x10 wheel.

Welcome to the board from SC.
There's a few ways to go about lowering your truck from cheap to not so cheap!lol I've lowered alot of these truck buy simply cutting 1 complete round out of the bottom of the front springs and making up a set of 2" blocks for the rearend and that will put you at about a 2" drop on all 4 corners and have your truck setting level also. The other option is to buy 2 1/2 drop spindles and drop springs for the rear. Depending on the drop you want you can also buy drop springs for the front to go with the spindles, I would'nt advise going any lower than a 2" spring up front because the shorter springs drops out of the spring bucket when the truck is being jacked up! jmo..........

we cut the front coil springs 2" drop and move the rear leaf hanger bolts up 3" drop ON 81 THO see post 11 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=359363
