screwy gas gauge
i just recently got my gas gauge working and when i put a full tank in the truck the gas gauge does not go to the full mark not even to the half way mark

Sounds like the float on the sending unit is full of gas. They have a habit of getting pin holes in them and gas fills into the float.
I would pull my sending unit and inspect it.

You might check the brass float in the tank, mine was cracked and full of gas. Sank and showed empty all the time. Also check the wiring from the sending unit leading to the gauge. May be corroded? Runs under the drivers side step plate, light tan or brown, just follow it from one end to the other. Others may have more or better ideas but maybe this will give you some ideas to look for. Lots of luck chasing the electrical gremlins.

Check to see that the tank has a good ground.
