Replacement rocker panels???

I've seen panels at all prices from $28 to $65 for both plus shipping. Is there someway to tell if one is better than the other? They don't give much info, not even metal gauge. Are the big catalog boys any better quality?

Re: Replacement rocker panels???

The OE style rocker is just about the same thickness as the original. The standard rocker is thinner but 65 seems high even for a pair shipped. The OE should be about 1.2 MM or 18 gage. They also have a "slip on" which you don't want

Re: Replacement rocker panels???

OE rockers are way overpriced. I'm talking about everything but OE.
Thanks

Re: Replacement rocker panels???

dwcsr is referring to OEM style rocker panels as opposed to slip-on rockers, which do not run up the door post. This may also be the reason that you are finding such a variance in prices.

Wow, really? I'll take a dozen. JK. Shop price here for factory style is $31.00 and $20.00 for slip on, each.

New to this site ...that sounds great. I need inners, outers, cab corners. Do inner rockers include part of the floor edge?
Thanks all.

There is a Rocker Backer but it has very little of the floor. If you purchase an Outer Floor Section it has the Backer attached to it which closes up the rocker. It has about 4-5 inches of floor and runs the length of the rocker.

I just received mine from Mike and they seem to be very high quality. And for the price... Can't beat it IMO.

Mike sells quality parts with very competitive pricing. Plus he knows these trucks. Mike has my vote

Re: Replacement rocker panels???

Just got some slip ons from Mike, my rockers are only a little perforated near the center of the section so I don't need the full OE or Factory style. The quality is good, solid heavy gage material and I looked at the fit up and it looks good. Price was really good for the items.
