its wrecked hard and frame is trash.. truck was nice before wreck, a/c blew cold etc. interior is nice, no rust at all, original paint etc. 305/auto. small lift. It now has a salvage title so that reduces resale value. I have a rolling 4x4 swb frame and no future plans for it. as well as atleast 2 of everything needed to put the front end back straight. So only thing I would spend money on besides things I run into along the way would be paint. everything else i have in my junk pile. what would u pay for it? I offered $800 and waiting on him to consider it. here is a pic before the wreck.

$800 is a good price. I would go up to $1000, $1200 if you really want it.

It sounds like a fair offer to me. It could be a nice truck again salvaged title or not.

I'd jump on it. Looks like he just missed the frame, but it can be straightened even if it's a bit tweaked. Front clips are available here for a few hundred, a few days work and it'll be good as new for less than 2 grand with paint.

frame is bent and cracked.. I have several front clips and a rolling frame already in my parts stash.

If you got all the parts, then I would go up a bit higher on the price. Maybe 1k.

I'd stick to my guns at $800 on it. Like you, I have about everything just laying around here to fix it with, but we'd probably fix the frame. Not everyone has a frame machine and measuring system and the capability to do that though.

Personally I would have started at about $500, most of the easy to sell items are not good on that truck. I'd also go at the angle of "at least I would fix it and get it back on the road and save it from the scrap pile", usually makes people want you to have it instead.

damm thats nice!!! the frame doenst look that bad @ all. Hope you score it.
My accident was alot worst than that. I took mine to a professional and they did a killer job straightening the frame. But i did have to score steering box plates. thats where the most damage was. ill look for my pics tonite.

I have access to a frame machine here at work. But its really bad.....I wouldnt straighten it. like I said I have another good frame.. I will get a pic of the frame damage..

$500 wouldnt buy it.....I offered 600 and got shot down... I feel comfortable at 800 I guess if he turns me down I will pass on it. He liked the idea of me fixing it so we will see.

Does it have a clean title, or is it listed as salvage? If the title is clean, that's a builder that would bring 4500 when done. I think 800.00 is dirt cheap and wouldn't worry about going to 1500.00

whoa!!!! mine wasnt that bad. yeah id stick a nice clean painted frame under that cab.
that truck does look worth saving. keep us posted if your going to buy it.

one thing that bothers me is....if I buy it, I want to clean and paint the new frame, diffs, regasket motor and trans... etc... I can see it snowballing out of control... and me spending more money on it then I could ever see out of it.. IF I was just to swap the frame over I'd be on the right track... I just dont think I can bring myself to do that haha. Also the wheels that are in the before pic, dont come with it. He is selling those for another 600 because the tires are new. I dont really like them so its really no biggie. I have a decent set of 33s but no wheels.. That is one thing I dont have is a decent set of wheels so I would have to buy some.

Well with a salvage/rebuilt title, you will never get any kind of good money out of it, even if it was rebuild with all brand new OEM parts. If you are concerned about putting too much money into it, or you think it will snowball out of control, then do not buy it. Save the money for another truck or w/e.

I just got back from the hour and a half drive to look at it. I like it... seat is in nice shape under the cover. interior needs headliner recovered and has a dash cap over the cracked dash. And the dash is cut for a cd player. carpet, door panels, everything else good. tanks switch like they should. Just recently had the heads redone because of smoke on startup. ac still charged... Believe it or not, as far as I can tell the radiator and ac condensor isnt bent or busted but its pushed forward. NO RUST at all, original paint. pretty clean under side with just a slightly weaping rear main. I am gonna sleep on it overnite. But I think I am going to get it.... I dont need it and I got too many trucks and projects now.... BUT I really want one of these trucks... Looks like I may get this and sell the 95 z71 and MAYBE the k5 after I get done with the tranny overhaul.
