urgent help required, wiper motor question
I was driving to Canada and smelled wires burning, and wipers quit, it blew the fuse, so I bypassed it and checked the wires that plug in to switch.
how can I check if it was the motor or the switch, i get now response from switch anymore. thanks, Jock |

If you have a volt meter, you could check to see if your switch is shorted across more than one pole. Also you can check to see if you motor is shorted. It should have a Ohm reading, not a dead short. I would suspect the motor first then the switch. You may have killed the switch if the wipers got hung up and made it draw too much current. Hard to tell till you look into it more. Good luck.
