engine hoist hydrolic ram questions
Yes, it is a harbor freight hoist. Was using it the other day and released the ram so it would go down and all of a sudden it shot oil out of the hole about 3/4 of the way up.
How do i refill it, much oil or to what level and the ram extended or retracted/ Put a plug in the hole? i was pulling a cab with it and i think the pillar scrapped the plug out. i was doing myself and it wasn't pretty so i am not sure what happened. trying save buying a new ram if possible.......plus while I am at it, where to get rebuild kits for floor jacks. Thanks for the time and advice, Steve |

Re: engine hoist hydrolic ram questions
that plug is a fill/vent hole. fill it to the bottom of that hole with the ram all the way down. it should have a rubber plug that goes in it.
