Best towing cam for my '85 k30 454

I want to put a better cam in my '85 K30's 454 since the factory one in a tad aneimic. It has an edelbrock performer intake with a 750 cfm performer carb and the rest is original. The truck is used for towing and hauling only, let me know what you guys think.

Something in the 214/220 range should work fine.

Call Comp Cams cam help line. They will be able to tell you exactly what will work best for your combination and use.

^ problem is that if you call Comp four different times, you'll get four different techs and four different recommendations.

Re: Best towing cam for my '85 k30 454

The Comp Cams XE262h cam is an awsome cam for a fairly stock 454. Two of my friends run these cams in their 4x4's and they work great. They have a very good idle with a slight lope and make awsome power. My one buddy has it in a 80's 454 with peanut port heads and stock pistons and it produces very good power. My other buddy has it in a .060 over 454 with closed chamber heads with headers in a 72 4x4. His truck performs awsome. I highly recomend this cam.
