Stock steering box
Hope this doesn't sound too dumb...but will a small block chevy fit in
my 53 gmc with hugger headers or stock manifolds with the original steering box and column? I plan to go the ifs in the future but kind of hard to do motor, tranny, rear end and front all at once. |

I just put a 283 in my '53 5 window. I tried block hugger headers and ram horn manifolds but the only manifolds that will fit are 55-56 chevy log style as they sweep upward and the drivers side has a front exit. They are probably not the greatest in terms of flow but they worked.
