Which Power Brake setup for a 68 C-10

I have a 68 with 81 disks up front and 71 drums in the rear. I want to get this booster/MC combo, but the picture shows a dual 8" and the description is a single 9" . They will send either one. Which one fits and if they both fit, which one would work better with my setup? I have a 350 with headers.

Re: Which Power Brake setup for a 68 C-10

I installed a 9" on my 69 SWB, and loved it! Installed an 8" dual diaphragm on my 72 Blazer and HATED it. Replaced the 8 with a 9, and my Blazer stops great! IMO the 8 just does not have enough volume to make for an easy brake apply. If you have a stock engine with more than 17" of vacuum at idle you should go with the 9"

Re: Which Power Brake setup for a 68 C-10

i just recently added a dual 8 inch booster and matching master cylinder to my 67 with later disk brakes and stock rear drum brakes. it improved braking markedly. my truck has a bbc, 400 turbo, and long tube headers.

OK, that's one for each, which answers the will it fit question as a tie. The will it work better seems to go to the 9" so far.
