Bagged on 22's Front & Rear
I've done a lot of searches, but I haven't found exactly what I was looking for. Anyone out there bagged with 22's in the front and rear without any other heavy duty suspension mods (cupped/tubular lcas and c-notch are ok)?
All the trucks running 22's in the front that I've found (67-72 that is) have either been z'd, custom framed or running a drop member, so I was wondering if people aren't running 22's up front with a "simple" bag set-up because of issues other than personal preference. I understand that inner fenders are an issue, but my blazer didn't come with em when I bought it so that's not really an issue at the moment.

Re: Bagged on 22's Front & Rear
Although I'd love to lay frame, removing the tub just sounds like it would turn my running blazer into a long term project and possibly losing my rear bench since I don't have much fabrication skills. I have a lot of things to do, so my goal is to do things in steps so it will only be down for short periods of time and I can still enjoy driving it around. Because of this, the first stage of the suspension is to just do a simple bag set up. I still would like 22's all around though, but just wondering if there's issues in running them that I'm not aware of.

i dont think you would have a problem then if your not wanting to lay frame but if you bag it it might rub the rear inners of the blaze so these are somethings to think about

You can just bag it on 22's, but it won't lay all the way out. I built a full frame for my 68 but i also stock floor body dropped it at the same time too.

Thanks, OARNGESI! I have never seen this one. I know it's not yours, but do you (or anyone) know any details about it? I'd really like to know the wheel offset/width and tire size and also what was done to the front fenders and wheel wells.

Re: Bagged on 22's Front & Rear
Im running 22's all the way around. 22x12 in the rear w/ 315/30/22. 22x9.5 up front w/ 265/30/22. I have a mild c-notch in the rear, bags and a mini tub. Up front i've got cpp tubular arms Uppers and lowers. Bags up front as well. At ride height, while turning corners the wheels would rub just a little. That was when i had the Mcgaughys big brake kit and spindles. I ditched that front kit and went with the cpp modular spindle and different brakes. The new spindles will bring my track width in a bit which will give me plenty of clearance at ride height and i am using stock inner fenders.

Re: Bagged on 22's Front & Rear
No build thread yet and my front suspension is torn apart just waiting on a parts order from porterbuilt. I should have it back together this week sometime and snap some pics for you asap

C10seconds,
Do you have the backspacing info for the front and back wheels? I have the same front end (CPP) as you with their big brake kit. Can you post some pictures of your truck? Thanks! |
