correct tires for a 78

I was using my friends truck this week while I was doing some yard work for her. The tires on it are 225/75-15 and the door jamb says h78-15b (I don't know what that means. Again not my truck (yet), but here are some pics for you.

That's a little before my time, but I think it would be about equivalent to a 235/75. That was what most of the trucks had when sizes switched to P-metric. A 255/70 looke pretty good too, and is about the same heighth. That looks like a really clean truck.

Re: correct tires for a 78

From what I can tell from google, it looks like either 225/75-15 or 235/75-15. I found out it was 28.4" and a the 225 is 28.29" and the 235 is 28.88". So the 225s on there now look like they are correct. And yes it is really pretty. I pressure washed it after I got done using it. It has some chips on the back of the outside bedsides and a couple of small bubbles, but it looks good from 10 feet.

Nice looking truck! Clean, keep it that way!

I work for Discount Tire Co. and I know we have 20+ stores there. Take it in and ask them! (i work in IT, and am no tire size expert!)

What is that thing worth by the way. I may be buying it if I ever get a job! (17 months unemployed).

I am kind of suprised. I looked on Craigslist and it looks like $1500-$2500 is what they are going for here in RDU. I would of thought it would be a little higher.
