Looks like I'm getting a C30!

I just bought a 1972 Chevy C30.
The details:
Needs corners and rockers of course
Needs new rear glass put in (supplied)
Needs exhaust manifold (supplied)
No brakes
No title, but bill of sale
Needs a bed eventually
Dually
350/ 4 speed

My only concern is getting this little fella home. I've got a 16ft trailer pulled by a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 Performance edition with a 6.0L, 4L65E, and beefed up 3.73 posi gears. Think it'll be able to pull it?

I would say no problem. Sounds like a good start - remember to post pictures!

Good find. Of course I'm biased to C30s (look at my avatar, lol).

Depending on how wide your trailer is, you may want to remove the outer wheels on the dually. Then it should track pretty close to a normal truck.

If the bed is shot (assuming it's a flatbed, tow truck, or a box truck), you may save some weight by removing the bed on site and either have it scrapped by the current owner or hauled in another trip. Those old steel flat beds weigh a ton and once they rust out, they are shot. A cab + open chassis truck is very light and will be no problem for your tow rig.

Re: Looks like I'm getting a C30!

No problem, have to see how this progresses. The truck doesn't have a bed, so that's a good loss of weight right there. On the plus side, I talked with my neighbor's brother and he's got a junked mid-80s chevy that had an Olds diesel at one point. Looks like he's got all the hydroboost bits so I can put a cummins 6bt in this thing if I decide to go that route.
