whats the factory orig master cylinder for disc/drum ?

was the master cylinder for 1972 with power disc/drum brake booster a single clip or a double clip top? i have searched for hours.cant find anything.. just trying to be factory correct. thanx,dave

i pulled one off a 72 gmc and it was double clip, parts store gave me a single clip replacement?

I would think they would have been made by delco remy but I could be wrong. Are you dealing with a big name auto parts store if so try a mom anf pop store and tell them what you would like.

Mine are Delco, but I have no clue what the part number would be.

The delco disk/drum m/c was the dual bail type, the bendix uses the single bail. Either m/c will work on either booster but to be correct you should try to match the booster and cylinder. For the record the delco booster was cadmium plated (gold) and the bendix unit was painted black.

Old blue the fluid will still hurt it just not so quickly, also usually the rebuilt units are not replated, so it will prob. be grey or some other flat looking color of dark.
