Taking the Light Handle off?

Can someone educated me on how the lighting handle (sorry, for lack of better word, it's what you pull to turn the lights on) comes off? I put it on when I was putting the dash back on but I forgot to put the crome bezel behind it.
Thanks,
Joe

Re: Taking the Light Handle off?

reach under the dash and on top of the box is a button you push down and it releases the handle part. Feel around and you will find it.

Re: Taking the Light Handle off?

If you reach up behind the dash and feel around the headlight switch, there is a button (I think it's on top).If you push that then pull the knob out as if you're turning the lights on,it will come out....eventually.It took me a few tries last time.
