Well, I finally registered as a user. I've been hanging around this board for over a year now. It's a great site, I love to read the posts and see the photos of other trucks. Here's a bit of history about my truck. It's a 1969 Chevy C20, it was bought new in California and a full size camper was bolted on right away. It was driven as an RV on the west coast during the summers. My father-in-law aquired it from the original owner, his friend in the mid 80's. He also used it as an RV in California until giving it to me in the early 90's. I drove it a few times camping with the family here in the midwest and then tore off the camper as it was rotting out from water leaking in over the years. It became my daily driver in October 2001. It's all original, the old 350 still chugs, smokes and leaks oil. But, people still wave and give compliments, even though it's tired and faded. It's got some surface rust, but compared to some of the photos I've seen posted, I feel lucky! The interior is clean, the dash pad looks brand new, as it never saw direct sunlight due to the camper overhang. I love the sound of the engine and it's fun to drive. Although my teenage daughter wouldn't be caught dead in it. She'd rather walk to school than have me drive her! That's my story..I'll try and post some photos.

Hello from Woodstock, IL!! Right here in good ole' McHenry County! Man I can still rembember when I was one of only 3 members in IL, and now there are showing up in my back yard! I thoought it was amazing when people in Rockford were poping up. Truck looks nice. I'm hoping to get the engine replacement started here real soon in my 69. Here is a pic of my truck, maybe you have seen it around in the summertime? Anyways, welcomce to the board, you will enjoy it!
