www.NorthernTool.com I have a steel toolbox across the back of my '68 Stepside. No idea who the Mfr was, it was on the truck when I bought it in '73. I keep a Justright 5 gallon Safety can inside it for an emergency, filled with premium and Stabil. Once a year I pour it in and replace it.

Re: Gastank/truckbox?
Exile, I plan on doing the same thing as I will be towing with my truck and nineteen gallons is not going to go very far.I asked all of the company's selling these and was told "not in California for gasoline".The only place I could find that sounded willing was KSH marine in Havasu. But get ready for sticker shock a 45 gallon tool box combo was $900.00. Let me know if you find anybody else willing to sell you a tank for gasoline in ca.

I sure people do it... probably just a liability issue. I had one like above in my F350 Diesel. Was not connected to the fuel system. I just pumped it in from the tank. I liked the extra weight in the bed. Made the truck ride much better.

Re: Gastank/truckbox?
All the tanks in the Northern catalog also state for diesel use only or not for transport of gasoline. Is there some DOT regulation, or just state of California?

Re: Gastank/truckbox?
Can you put a fuel cell in the bottom of the toolbox? The biggest problem will be venting the fumes out of the box
