disc brake help
OK, I have done a lot of homework about disc brake swaps and upgrades for my 69 - thanks to this great site. As I understand it, the big brake kits are based off the Corvette rotor and calipers, some go so far as to say "replace with stock GM parts". I would guess the caliper brackets are aftermarket for these, but don't know for sure - how about the hubs? Are these an aftermarket item or ??? Thanks for the help and aiding and abetting my future insanity. Kevin

Re: disc brake help
The best way on that model is to get everything off a 71-72. You wind up with 5 stud rotors & have to use 5 stud wheels though.

Re: disc brake help
yep, I understand that. How about the "big" brake kits? What hub do they use with the Vette (I assume) rotor and caliper?

Re: disc brake help
I'm in too ...... trying to research this exact same thing , I want big brakes on my 68 1/2 ton 2wd. I have upgraded mine to a 91 crossmember already and now I want to do the brakes. I saw on CPP website some modular spindles that take bigger rotors and different calipers . Any one that can speak from experience on this subject ?????? The other thing is I want to leave mine 6-lug and I would like to make it handle while being LOW....!!!!
