My 6.0 LQ9 install!!!!!
I just wanted to post some pics of my blazer, with the LQ9 install. I have worked hard to try to make it look "like the factory should have done it".....lol that was my goal anyways.

Re: My 6.0 LQ9 install!!!!!
I am running 6 inches of lift. The front differential is off to the left of the cross member. But the distance between the two is around 5 to 5.5 inches. The cross member worked out great. Thank you all for your compliments. I am proud of it, but I am DAMN proud on how it runs.

Re: My 6.0 LQ9 install!!!!!
Did the engine mounts come with that crossmember? And how much was it? I am planning on doing a similar build with mine. A Mast motorsports LSX 454 and a 6L90E auto tranny.

All the engine mounts came with the cross member. It worked great..... But the price was "not good"...$500. I thought it was high.... But it worked!.I will work on the pictures from the front as soon as I can. It may take a few days tho...I think I remember Kevin, telling me that the cross member was recommended for a blazer with a lift. If you have any doubt of doing this install.... Stop!... Cause it is worth every second!.. Anything that I can do to help... Let me know... Also I can be reached @ 501-207-3303(Greg) Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: My 6.0 LQ9 install!!!!!
LOL...yea...I noticed I put the pic of the 4spd(sm465) in there a few times. I was trying to use it. It was in the blazer originally. I was not able to make it work, It was gonna cost me more to setup hydraulic clutch, then to use a turbo 400 I already had......Great job! on your install Marty.....the seats (I think) are out of a 01 yukon, or tahoe. I used the 3rd row out of a suburban that matched it......Thanks everyone for your compliments... I am sooo glad I went that direction on the install. |
