can anyone help identify my rims?
hello i was just curious to know what type of rims are on my truck are they original gm rims? i was told by someone they came of a k5 blazer any help appreciated thanks again

They are GM rims. I'm sure somebody on here knows what years they were available, I'm guessing early 80's to the last of the square suburbans (mine came of a 90 sub). Around our area they are common on suburbans, vans and blazers. Once and awhile you would see them on pickups. I like the way they look, I just wish they came in 8" wide instead of 7". I have a set that I polished and debating about putting them on my 77.

Yes they are original GM rims. I believe they were available from 73-91. Someone chime in and correct me if I'm wrong. They were on the K5 Blazers, suburbans and pickups. 5 lug, two wheel drive. 6 lug, four wheel drive.

Sorry guys; joining late.
You've pretty well nailed it. The only thing I could add is that they were originally available as a forged wheel, and then later switched to a cast version as a cost savings. I had these on my 80 stepside, and then also my '86 Suburban company truck (the "step father" of the '87 pickup I am currently driving). K

My Hollander interchange book has these listed as a number 560-1192 with the interchange of:
1980-82 blazer 2wd 1978-87 chev/gmc 2wd 1/2ton pickup 1978-88 chevrolet suburban 2wd,1/2ton 1978-91 gmc suburban,2wd,1/2ton 15x7

Thanks Chris, it took some time to get these looking good. First step was to get the clear coat stripped off. After that I started with 180 grit to knock off the machine marks and then stepped my way up to 800 grit. They were ready for the buffer at that point. I don't have a good pedestal buffer any more so I had a shop do it for me. Once they are buffed you can use any quality aluminum polish to keep them looking good. The only thing I know to do to make them look better would be to have them chrome plated.

sounds good I'm doing my rims on my 88 that way, they are stripped and I was gonna start around 180 or 220 and work my way up there then polish them.
