What paint to use for frame?
i am repainting a frame since the one under the truck is cracked(trashed) around the steering box. what type (kind) of paint should i use to paint this frame? something that will be hard to chip and rust. and something that doesnt add a lot of pounds.

John Deere Blitz Black. It's made by Valspar and is seriously tough.

Re: What paint to use for frame?
personally I have used por15 and zero rust and rustoleum.
I can get the whole frame done top bottom, iniside and out with the rustoleum, but the others wouldn't do the frame once let alone two coats that they call for. Not to mention they are $30 or so when rustoleum is only $9. I just used it on my 88's frame and used gloss black, I like it shiney LOl. I have tons of pics too if anyone is interested. There are some here in the 88-98 build threads called 88 on a tigh budget.

Re: What paint to use for frame?
I am going to use tractor supply gloss black with hardener. This is good paint as I have used it on a number of tractors and wagons.
