Project Sexual Chocolate? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Anybody have any more pictures of the Sexual Chocolate truck? It is in this month's Street trucks... It is a clean looking '68 that says it was being built in Rockwall, TX. Carter Hickman Designs did a rendering of it and it looks bada@#! It has a SD rear kit that was installed.

Any info/pics?

Is that jkaylor68's (or something like that) old truck? I think I remember it being for sale on the board a couple of years ago. What a transformation!

Yes thats the old "Purple Rain" truck as we called it , due to the fact it was Laker Yellow and Purple. He and I ahve been watching the progress in the magazine. Hard to believe it is the same truck. He cringes every time you call it "Sexual Chocolate " LOL !!!! Will be nice though when it is complete.

i love those huge chevrolet letters on the gate ,i like the letters on the tail gates because it just say you like this @$$ your gonna be seeing it all day!

Call me old fashioned- but the whole "LOOK my truck swallowed its wheels!!!" look will never be my favorite.

I agree... that truck would look great with the wheels set a little farther out. I do really like the paintwork around the grille, though.

Come on Jim,... you had a set of 18's and 20's on the Circus Wagon, WAY before anyone else thought it was cool.
Besides,... you can't set the frame on the ground with the wheels sticking out.

i like the renderings more then i like the actual truck for some reason. the truck is still pretty cool tho

I know, but we joked back then what was next? Wheels that TOTALLY disappear and a cover flips down to fill the opening? That sucked in wheel look just isn't my thing. I filled the wheel wells- but I NEVER was into "laying frame" or rocker or any of that. I know it's since gotten TOTALLY popular as the Mini Truck guys have migrated to Full-Size trucks and Rat Rods, but I still like the trucks a couple inches off the ground with the bed slightly higher than the nose- way it should be! I have seen other trucks with the wheel combo I started with that did it better than mine, but it's true it lit the fire.
Funny my next one will have 15-inch Rallys or stock full wheel covers. Guess I'm getting old!

You should be pleased to know that the trend is heading back to that. I had a long conversation with Travis Noack today on that exact subject. I wouldn't expect the bagged and dropped, big inch wheel fad to go completely away any time soon.

Despite that, the popularity of moderately dropped trucks with smaller wheels is coming back strong. Combine that with the growing enthusiasm toward trucks that perform well on a track, and the "Joe Touring" look is on the rise.
