Head lights tail lights signals seat belts and a horn is all you really need here well plus plates and insurance

I'm pretty sure the 'chute and wheelie bars are not legal on the street here in Ca. If you really wanted to get technical, I'm sure you could dig through almost any state's vehicle code (but especially Ca's) and make a pretty big list of "illegal" mods. But you'd have to dig quite a bit. The younger Highway Patrol officers here in my part of the state are real pricks, if you give them ANY reason, they'll hit you with anything they can think of.

There's all sorts of cars like that running around the streets around here...not that level of detail/cleanliness, but just as nasty. As long as you aren't running open headers and have head/tail lamps & turn signals then you usually don't get too much fuss from the law.

Seen the car in person, Its a really neat ride. In MD if you have street rod tags you don't need to get inspected and can get away with quite a bit.

Neat car but who would want to drive it on the street regularly anyway? I see a couple issues with no side mirrors and that hood scoop.

in florida about the only thing that is needed is a good version of a vin number and you're good to go on the street. i've seen sprint cars with plates

My 68 GMC has never been to an inspection. I have lots of issues like no mirrors, flowmaster 40's with no tailpipes (really loud), one of my brake lights works intermediately, and for a while i had no tail light lenses. I drove past the CHP office 3 times today, once past the sheriffs office, once past the local PD, and had it parked in the courthouse parking lot all day (I had jury duty) and I didn't get pulled over.
