Re: Complete TBI setup

pardon my lack of knowledge here stitch, but is this the same thing as fuel injected? or is this better then a carb'ed motor?

Re: Complete TBI setup

It's fuel injection. The throttle body looks like a carb bit it has fuel injectors in it. And the computer controls the fuel injectors.

so for my simple brain, tbi=easier starting and less time warming up like a carb?

Re: Complete TBI setup

Exactly. It's fuel injection just like a newer truck. Just a different type of fuel injection. Starts everytime like its supposed to with no problems like you would have with a carb

Re: Complete TBI setup

no downside to fuel injection...you may need a new chip for the 305...there have been some who have done the swap and didn't need a chip and I was told that there wouldn't be a need for a chip but I can't say for sure...also, what kind of specs do you want...I'll go pull the stuff out of the boxes and take some pics for ya...

Re: Complete TBI setup

You can run the stock PROM (chip) with the 350 or your 305. I think this would make a great addition to your truck.

Re: Complete TBI setup

Stitch...if you get this linked to the 4x4 area...The 4x4 guys love TBI because you wont run out of fuel on a steep hill..or steep downgrade...

They will buy it up fast ,there..
