Where do I find this part?
I am looking for the bushing for the rear shackle on my '71 Chevy Shortbed. A PO decided it would just be too much trouble to find a set of factory leaf springs to fix a damaged set so they installed a set from something else. The shackle appears to have taken the brunt of the mismatch. I need the bushing that goes on the rear of the shackle where it attaches to the mounting bracket. The only bushing that the local parts people can find is the one that goes in the end of the leaf spring where it attaches to the shackle. LMC sells a set that includes all 4 bushings that is $28 shipped. This will be my choice as a last resort. $28 seems a little steep when all I need is one bushing. Has anyone found these elsewhere?
I had no success with my local GM dealer as the part has been discontinued. I will order the LMC part if no one has any other ideas. |

Try Motion Industries Inc or Skf USA Ball & Roller Bearings in Muncie. They should have what you need. Just make sure you have all of the measurements of your bushings before you call or go up. Or take the old one with if there is anything left of it... LockDoc
