Re: Barn-find 72 lwb
The plan is to change the batt. and get tit out of the shed and into the shop this weekend. Give her a good bath and see what Im up against. It has been about 5 years since I last heard her run. Shes been in storage while I was doing the Army thing. Will post more pix if this Ga. weather allows.

Re: Barn-find 72 lwb
Just a little update on "junebug" I went this past weekend to try and get her running. Install a new batt and aired up the tires. The tires held air but I will replace them before I daily drive her. They should be good in shop truck mode. She also turned over fine but no spark. It was starting to snow, cold and windy so I cut the play time short. We are covered with about 6in of snow at the moment but hope that clears by the weeked.I am making the trip to ATL. friday to pick up a 350 that supposely is an org 72 truck block,Its gonna need a rebuild but im gonna take a chance on it for the "matching numbers" aspect. I am also looking for "static drop" parts if anyone has any laying around. would like to get her droped before I get new tires. looking at a 3/5 with spindles, coils front and rear and blocks. Dont want to C notch it just yet. just want her a lil lower than stock. Any advice or help is welcome. Thanks Russ

Re: Barn-find 72 lwb
No new pix yet but just an update. I did get her running last weekend.Had to replace the Ing. Coil because of no spark and cleaned the points. After a few shots of starting fluid she was running. Idle is rough and throttle return spring broke but I was just happy to her her purr after setting for 5 years. I also got the "Junk 350". For the most part I was happy with what I got. Was really expecting it to have a bad problem inside but ended up being a good score for the $. Havent ran the #'s on the block yet but long story short. Its a 2 bolt main.the crank is good needs polishing, the cam is after market with a date of EB 1987 need to run the #'s to ID it. The block is in good shape no ridge or deep scars.Should get away with just a hone but may go .030 just because. The heads are 882 not the best but will work for the time being. Looking for a set of 416 castings. More to follow
