I didnt do anything truck related. My block was hit thursday with a tornado and since then ive been helping with the clean up.We had alot of trees down in both front and rear yards and the street was blocked until i cleared it out.. what kind of chainsaw do i use? NONE i used a cheap harbor freight sawzall for it all...and Lowes blades
Pics from the newspaper.. How about you all??

Reprimed the bed of the truck. Reworked the DIY door panels. Cleaned up the engine bay some more. Found out the alternator isn't working right. Other than that, was a pretty lazy weekend lol.

The Heap did me proud Saturday, won "Best Old School" at a show in Va Beach.
Spent today doing yard work and walking past my trophy (4' 7"). LOL.

Re: What did you get done 9/19/10 edition
Scored a driveshaft out of a 77 G10 short wheel base van that was the right length for my 12-bolt / 4L60E / NP208 combo in my modified 74 K10 chassis.
No trip to the driveshaft shop or $$$ conversion U-joints needed, woo hoo! Scored a Camaro tach with the 80 psi oil pressure gauge in it and the matching 115 mph optical VSS speedo too. Good by 85 mph speedo.

Re: What did you get done 9/19/10 edition
Went to the Pick-N-Pull with my lil man. Had a blast. I scored an entire Suburban interior with perfect grey door panels and trim pieces. Front buckets and rear seats also. All for $150. I will go pull it all next weekend when I get out there by myself. Also got the truck all wired up, burb cluster installed, etc. Just need to order wheels and tires now!

Re: What did you get done 9/19/10 edition
it's been raining out all weekend so not much done to the truck, I did manage to make summit a bit richer, redoing all my brake lines and upgrading to braided stainless lines instead of the factory rubber..

Re: What did you get done 9/19/10 edition
I fixed what I thought was a bad headlight and found out it's my wiring that makes the headlight dim and I spent two hours trying to find and get the screw clips back into place to put the bezel on for nothing....the joys of restoring trucks!

Re: What did you get done 9/19/10 edition
Went to the scrap yard Saturday to drop off some scrap I had filling up my garage. Found some parts for my truck while there, so that was good. Put the rear roll pan on today. Put on the exhaust tips. Replaced the heater fan motor. It's getting there, little by little. Someday it'll be a truck I won't be ashamed of.

Installed my new starter and replaced the liner on the welder. Now I can get to work on the rollpan.

Saturday went to a swap meet at the ball park, picked up a few tools I needed for work, then went to harbor freight for a sand blaster got the 40lb capacity one. I was able to blast a dollar bill size before the drier fell apart.

Re: What did you get done 9/19/10 edition
Saturday, went to daughter's cross country meet, she cut her time by 1/3 from last year!
Sunday, drove 150 miles to the family farm show a guy my S10, he's picking it up Tuesday. That will let me get to all my stuff stored behind it so I can bring it down to my barn. Pulled the freezer full of 455 Buick parts out of the family garage. Dragged it and some farm equipment home. Ran the tractor and brush hog for about 2 hours. Should have worn sun block.....

Re: What did you get done 9/19/10 edition
I worked on call this weekend, so I didn't get near as much done on my E3 install as I wanted to. I did enjoy a small victory late Sunday evening as I finally got the system completely wired and was able to power it up for the first time.
The celebration was short though. I soon discovered I had no pwer to my compressor. After a lot of research I decided to rip the power wire out and start over. That's when I found the turn on relay from the original system that was hidden under the fender liner. It does have a really cool display though.
