That is a major difference, the cable goes on the outside.

Re: Are trailing arms the same left & right?

also to me, it looks like if u take the right side to left or vice versa the angle of the u bolts would go the wrong way. btw this is a 1972 frame and susp.

Re: Are trailing arms the same left & right?

if you really cant see the difference between a left and right trailing arm you need to get your eyes examined by a good doctor

Re: Are trailing arms the same left & right?

If I remember right I sold a drivers side to a guy and he needed a pass side, he just cut off the e brake bracket and was driving the truck the next day. They do not have a sideways bend in them, they only bend upwards, I've taken quite a few off and shipped quite a few

Re: Are trailing arms the same left & right?

I just spent the day under my '65 putting on dual exhaust and based on what I am seeing they are the same, except for the emergency brake bracket which is not a big deal to change.

This would make a lot of sense from GM's perspective, (1) less part to make and keep in stock!

Or maybe those that think they're 'bent' differently L to R need to?? From what I remember, they're straight w/the only difference being the e-brake tabs.
