How to? '68 Disc Conversion?

All the ball joints and bearings are bad on both sides and I'm thinking about converting over from drum to disc. But how?
What all is needed?
What can I get from the Junk yard to help?
Thanks.

Re: How to? '68 Disc Conversion?

Just saw you were from Missouri.

Look around on the Suspension Section with the search feature.
This question is a very common one.
It's also a great update to your truck.
(I highly recommend it)

I typed in "disc conversion" in the search box and came up with 4 pages of threads.
Check them out here:

Type in "drum to disc" and you will get plenty of different threads.
There is plenty of good reading here.

Re: How to? '68 Disc Conversion?

First off, welcome from another MO member.

Check out my build thread in my signature (Project Blank Slate) as I installed a disc brake upgrade from Early Classic Enterprises on my '69. We tried to document everything that would be needed for the install.

Good luck with the project!
