Adjustable track bar??

Getting ready to lower a 71 longbed 4 inches and I am installing a adjustable track bar. It doesn't have directions so how do I adjust it?

Re: Adjustable track bar??

The ones I am familiar with have a threaded sleeve you can turn, like on a tie rod. If yours isn't like that, please post a pic of it.

Re: Adjustable track bar??

The object of the track bar is to center the rear end in the frame. As Cdowns mentioned, use a tape measure and get the rear centered. We measure from the back of the tires to the frame to get ours centered..

Re: Adjustable track bar??

^^ Yep, that sums it up. Center the rear as much as possible @ ride height. Adjust the bar accordingly & install it. Re-measure, then adjust left or right as necessary by disconnecting the adjustable end of the bar & threading it in or out.

I use a ratchet strap on the frame & suitable location on the rear housing to tug it one way or the other if needed.
