Where is the best place to put a fuel cell? I'm looking at ditching the in cab tank... If anybody has any pics of their setup that they could post, it would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Fuel cell location!

Ok i have a little more time now.

Search Boyds fuel cell, Group buy, he has a thread here. These are designed for a rear mount between the frame rails.
http://www.boydwelding.com/

Wes is another great guy to deal with.
http://classicheartbeat.com/ He has a tank mod shown on his webpage, and he carries a cool Polycell tank too..

The options i have seen thus far:
Bed floor filler
Rear stake pocket filler mod.
Reat side marker filler mod
Rear taillight filler mod
Or Install a flip door from another doner car or truck into the bedside, i'm leaning toward this myself...
I have yet to see anyone do a foward under bed tank possibly due to the closness of the driveshaft? or just space limitations.. i'm still brain bustin on that one.

a lot of people are using mid 90's flip doors and filler necks for the mods..

One thing that seems to be a consensus on is to stay away from saddle tanks like what is on the late 70's trucks, side impact will send gas allover, maybe explode ect... too bad cause theres a lot of space there.

There are a ton of venders listed on the venders page, many of them have a blazer or surburban tank.

Oh one guy did an aluminum tool box in the bed and mounted a gas tank in that
