welding on a sway bar?
is it possible to weld a tab to a sway bar without effecting it material wise? i need to narrow mine a little and want to weld a tab on it so i can run heim joints vs. rubber bushings. i see that the ride tech sway bar has a tab on it and it is welded. this is what i am trying to achieve. any help would be great. thanks daniel.

Re: welding on a sway bar?
I think you will be fine welding a tab to it.
The early MuscleBars from RideTech were made that way,... which looked really clean. Mine looks like they just pinched the tubing and bent it 90 degrees. (in my opinion,... it doesn't look that great for a $400 swaybar)

Re: welding on a sway bar?
yea i don't think it will be a problem, i narrowed the control arms on my dually project and now the factory sway bar is too wide. it is made at an angle so as i cut it down it will get narrower. i will build off of the lower arm to keep everything in line as i cut it down.

Re: welding on a sway bar?
Welding to the end od a swaybar is OK, welding in the middle is no good. for link tabs on the ends, you should be fine.
