possible new direction for my truck
well i'm geting cabin fever and have a new idea for the gmc. 4X4. i was thinking of buying a rolling 4x4 blazer of jimmy frame and putting the gmc's cab on it. 4 inch lift springs, 36 inch tires and a toolbox bolted to the back. be a good mudder and rock crawler, and be different. and then i don;t have to patch all the holes in the floor and cab corners (some place for the water to go!). i've got a good 350 and a blown tranny in the gmc now. what do you think? i think it would be bad@ss!!

i think you'll find vthat a pickup cab wont just bolt on to a blazer frame i believe you'll have to febricate new rear cab supports plus notch the back of the cab and floor as well as relocate the gastank so the question is if you're willing and able to do all that work why not just fix the thing right in the first place?????

I've seen it done with an ultrashort bed, looked interesting. A flatbed would prolly look better tho.

i think it would be cool. i've seen s-10 bodys and such, i figured hey. my gmc's body is shot anyway. i can justify the holes in the floor as drainage holes then!
