Re: Brake light on dash

Low brake fluid level.
When I cracked an old brake line rubber hose, all the fluid leaked out. When I hit the brake the first time, the fluid level dropped in the master and the light came on.

The wire that feeds that light is directly connected to the master cylinder (just one single wire coming out the side)

Re: Brake light on dash

I vote for the switch on the distribution block - not that the switch is bad, but that the shuttle pin moved off center and actuated it. This indicates a pressure imbalance between front and rear - possibly caused by a fluid leak.

Re: Brake light on dash

check fluid level then start checking the whole brake system for leaks better to do immediatly than after the accident
