Gauge questions...

Hey guys, I've been slowly accumulating the parts to build the cluster that will go in my '83. Thus far I've gotten:

NOS 1981+ tachometer with orange needle and font that matches the 85 MPH speedo.
NOS gauge cluster housing (Tach Cluster)
Repro cluster lens

I've been looking into the smaller gauges and I remember from our '86 C2500 that it's oil pressure and temp gauges had numbers instead of L - H. What I would like is for as many of my gauges as possible to be numbered, I hate the L & H on a gauge, it tells me diddly. Can I just drop one of the later gauges with numbers in place of my L & H gauges?
