the most recent purchase 63 chevy original paint.
Just thought I would share a few pics of the 1963 chevy I just purchased. Original paint 350 4spd posi rear diff. This truck is so awsome to cruise around in I just can't get enough of it.

Great paint! Is that a 63 with a 62 grille? Or is it actually a 62?

Re: the most recent purchase 63 chevy original paint.
I would say it's a '63 with a '62 grille. The badges are '63. That '62 grille seems perfect! If you ever decide to put a '63 grille on it, keep me in mind for that one.

Re: the most recent purchase 63 chevy original paint.
Just looked again and noticed that the vin tag is in a different location than the '62, '63 and '64 that I've owned. Is this an alternate location or? Just curious that's all.

As far as the trucks not getting their due, I think it's great. Once people start figuring out how nice the 60-66s are, the prices will go out the roof, and we won't be able to find those complete, running $1500 gems anymore. |

Re: the most recent purchase 63 chevy original paint.
Yes the truck has a 62 grille in it and I really like the look of it. Thanks guys for all the nice compliments and as long as I own this truck it will stay exactly the way it is. Every time I stop somewhere with it the first thing people always ask is ( when are you going to paint it? ) I just tell them never its only original once. some people just don't get it I guess. And yes it is a Canadian truck so thats why the vin tag is probably in a different place. Up here it is very rare to see one of these trucks with little to no rust that has not been painted and I think that is so cool I'm just glad it ended up at my place instead of someone elses place lol. Cruise it the way it is!!!

Re: the most recent purchase 63 chevy original paint.
Thats funny because I did the same thing when I seen it for sale. I have bought and sold lots of old trucks but never before have I purchased a truck without seeing or driving it. I phoned the guy and he called it the way it was and we made a deal over the phone and he drove it right to my door. this thing is so fun to drive and I sure get a lot of looks and thumbs up. I think I will keep this one for a while.

The grill looks like it's aluminum... is it? Are all the '62 grills aluminum? Man that truck is sweet!
