question about the speedometer in my 1968 truck
my 1968 truck has another needle in the speedometer i have never seen before. whats it for?

That is the speedwarning needle. there should be a knob to the left of the gauge that moves that needle. Anytime you go over the set speed there's a buzzer that should go off.

Yes, it's a rare and desirable option. 67 and 68's are the most common years. I've heard that a few 69's may have gotten it. Sharpie

If it's working that gauge cluster could be worth a couple hundred to the right person.

wow thats crazy it all works fine this truck is a 4x4 highly optioned with the buddy bucket seats and a few other options.

Have a picture of the SPID? Buddy buckets are some of the rarest seats in these trucks as well. Depending on the condition they can go for a couple hundred too.

Service Parts ID, the label on the inside of the glove box door that lists the options installed at the factory.
