what color should i go with on my 1971?

i am wondering what color should i go with on my 1971 4x4? it is susposed to be medium blue and white (code 542). im switching out cabs and not sure if i should end up painting it back to stock or go with orange with a white roof. and suggestions?

i want to shoot the inside of the cab now so i dont have to worry about it later.

here is my truck i almost have all the body work done and ready for primer

What kind of them do you have for your project? Is it going to be a stock restoration? - if so, I'd keep with the blue and white.

right now the only original parts from this truck is the cab and frame so when i switch the cab it will only be the frame is stock. i like both color combinations does it matter for resale?

Probably not. I was going to say if you're doing a stock resto and you have the SPID still intact, then you would probably increase the value some if everything matched up.

what cab? the cab on my 71 is the med blue and white and my parts cab is some kind of red it is a 1968 cab

i love the fathom green my 1969 chevelle is with white and still might go with that

I kinda like it...

My project is a bit pieced together with an orange truck and a black truck... Whenever I get any replacement panels/cab some day, it'll be painted to match the existing scheme I even plan on keeping a chevy hood and GMC grille if I can get away with it!

I really like the light metallic brown they are putting on the new silverados. Classy. It's a little darker than a champaign. Probably wouldn't make for a good 2 tone if that's what you're wanting.

I am partial to the Orange and White combo. I especially like the plaid seats. Not mine.

Orange and White is the way to go...although my truck was originally completely light red...

im leaning to the hugger orange with a white roof but i cant really find pictures of 4x4 trucks with those colors. i can find the ones pictured above with the white down the sides though

i did find this one on the fourm here and loved the look but dont know how different it will look on my truck

I am thinking it is 541 medium blue metalic if I remember correctly..I could check my papers but they are some miles from me ,,so this is a close guess for now..
