55-59 Chrome Cowl?

Were chrome cowls ever part of the deluxe cab trim option on the task force trucks? I have an old chrome cowl for my truck, but wasn't sure if it would have been factory or aftermarket. The following truck that's currently on ebay has a chrome cowl and it got me to thinking again.

Re: 55-59 Chrome Cowl?

some people chromed the cowl, as well as the bed steps, door panels, glove box door, and ash tray. It was not stock. But the over head speeker cover might have been chrome from the factory.
